Ambassador Tomas Pojar is the Vice President for International Relations at the Prague-based CEVRO University as well as an independent defense, security, and foreign affairs consultant.
From 2022 to 2025 Amb. Pojar worked in various positions for the Prime Minister and the Government of the Czech Republic. He served as the National Security Advisor, Prime Minister’s “Sherpa” for the EU matters and chief diplomatic advisor as well as Deputy Minister to the Minister of European Affairs.
From 2014 to 2022 Amb. Pojar has worked as Vice President at the CEVRO University as well as defense, security, and foreign affairs consultant. Prior to that he served from 2010 to 2014 as Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the State of Israel; the First Deputy Minister at the Czech Foreign Ministry in charge of Security Affairs, EU Affairs, and Bilateral Relations with European States from 2006 to 2010; and as Deputy Minister at the Czech Foreign Ministry in charge of Bilateral Relations from 2005 to 2006.
Amb. Pojar joined the Czech Foreign Service in 2005. Before that, he was the executive director of the People in Need Foundation, the largest Central European humanitarian aid organization.
