Tomáš Petříček is an expert in geopolitics, geoeconomics, and international security. He is a foreign policy advisor to the President of the Czech Republic. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic from 2018 to 2021. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs between August and October 2018, and Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs from May to December 2017.
He is the founder and CEO of geopolitical and geoeconomic consultancy Eunoia Horizons. He is a senior advisor of Brussels-based NCplus advisory.
He is a researcher at the Centre of Global Political Economy of the Institute of International Relations Prague, a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague, and an associated researcher at Sciences Po Paris. His research focuses on the intersection of climate change and geopolitics, geoeconomics of green transition and new technologies, geopolitical and geoeconomic competition in the multipolar world, and contemporary global political economy.
