Michal Kadera, MBA, LL.M. is the Director of External Affairs at Škoda Auto, where he is responsible for public and government affairs, political communication, corporate citizenship/CSR, and regional development. He is also actively involved in the development of electromobility as Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Electromobility Platform.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of West Bohemia, completed postgraduate studies at Universität Passau and Škoda Auto University. He gained professional experience, among other roles, as Director of CEBRE – the Czech Business Representation to the EU in Brussels and at the Ministry of Education, where he headed the European Affairs Department. He lectures on European law, lobbying, and sustainability at universities and international conferences.
Education has long been one of his passions – from informal and intercultural education in non-profit organizations such as Scouts, AFS Intercultural Programs, or the European Youth Forum to coordinating European education policies and programs at the Ministry of Education. Since 2018, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, one of the largest in the country, which supports sustainable development in regions around Škoda’s plants in the Czech Republic, with education being a key focus area. The fund invests in improving teaching quality, developing school environments, and supporting the skills of school leaders, teachers, and students to make education modern and motivating for future generations.
